HCG Diet – 500 Calorie

DAY 1
October 9, 2012
Today I started on the HCG Diet. I am going to use this page to document how it goes.

My day began by going to see Dr. Grobbelaar, weighing in, and having him show me how to give the HCG injections. He was concerned by the amount of time I bled from the injection site. The bleeding is due to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and not something I am usually too concerned about. He decided that because of it he was going to follow me a little closer than usual. I have to see him again in two weeks so that he can examine the injection sites and see how I am doing.

Today and tomorrow I am to consume between 3000 and 5000 calories. Damn that is a lot of food. My weight this morning was 202 lbs. I feel quite bloated.

DAY 2
October 10, 2012

Just injected myself with HCG for the first time. It took me a couple of tries to do it. I finally just lined it up on my thigh, took a deep breath and turned my head away as I thrust it in. All that anxiety and it didn’t even hurt. Wasn’t sure I had it in till I turned and looked. Hopefully it gets easier since I will be doing this for awhile. This mornings weight was 198.8. Again today I am supposed to eat 3000-5000 calories.

October 11, 2012

Injected myself this morning without too much trouble. This mornings weight was 198.8. Today I start on the 500 calorie a day diet. Two 250 calorie meals per day consisting of 100 grams of protein, a vegetable and a fruit. The permitted fruits and vegetables are very limited, even more so since I can’t eat grapefruit or oranges. I am supposed to be careful and not break a sweat. Should be interesting since it is a receive day at work.

Tried the other leg today. Injecting myself is getting easier, I am just glad I don’t have to do this forever. Yesterday I found that although my stomach felt empty, I didn’t have the other symptoms of low blood sugar. This mornings weight 194.2. I work again today.

DAY 5
October 13, 2012

Last night I was very tired by the time we went to bed. Worked, went shopping and then went and sat in the hot tub at the pool for a bit. I am drinking a lot of water to offset the empty stomach feeling. I have discovered mint flavoured water from Western Family. This mornings weight was 192 lbs.

October 14, 2012

Dealing with some hunger issues, not bad though. Weight this morning was 190.6 lbs. Still drinking lots of water. Work today.

DAY 7
October 15, 2012

This mornings weight 188.8 lbs. I am tired. Found it hard to climb the stairs at work a second time yesterday. First time was fine, but the second I felt like I ran a marathon. I will take it easy today.

October 16, 2012

My weight has 187.8 lbs this morning. Took it fairly easy yesterday. Today is a receive day at work so, a physical day.

DAY 9
October 17, 2012

My weight was 187.4 lbs this morning. Today is my day off and I am finding I don’t have a lot of energy, or strength.

October 18, 2012

Todays weight is 186 lbs. Feeling pretty good.

October 19, 2012

186 lbs again today. Hopefully it is down tomorrow. Otherwise, time for an apple day.

October 20, 2012

This mornings weight is 185 lbs. Sor far I have lost 13.8 lbs. 35-40lbs to go.

October 21, 2012

184 lbs this morning. It is getting easier, I am not even tempted to cheat. I do look forward to more variety in my diet.

DAY 14
October 22, 2012

This mornings weight is 183.2 lbs. An interesting fact since I have been on the diet is that I haven’t had the stomach pain and digestive distress I usually have. I will have to pay careful attention when I start adding foods back in.

DAY 15
October 23, 2012

This mornings weight is still 183.2 lbs. Saw Dr. Grobbelaar and he said I am right on track. Average weight loss is about a pound a day. I am going to continue the HCG and 500 calories for two more weeks. Then I will stop the HCG, but do the 500 calories for two more days. Then three weeks of 1500 calories with no grains or “white stuff” as he put it. Then I will do roughly six weeks of maintenance before I start again in December. At that point Andrew will be joining me.

Weight 183.2 lbs. No loss today.

Todays weight is 182.8 lbs. I seem to be slowing down.

Still 182.8 lbs. If my weight is the same tomorrow I will do an apple day.

182.8 lbs again. Apple day it is.

October 28, 2012

180.2 lbs. Hopefully I sart dropping weight again. 8 more days of shots. 10 more days of 500 calories.

Damn stuck again. 180.2 lbs. I am also constipated. Took some restoralax.

!79.6 lbs. Getting close to the end of the 500 calorie part of the diet.

178.8 lbs. Three more days of shots to go. Five days of 500 calories.

November 2, 2012

178.4 lbs. Not much of a loss, but still a loss. I am looking forward to more variety in my diet. I think I need some egg plant.

178.4 lbs. Not sure if I should try another apple day.

177.4 lbs. One shot left.

November 5, 2012

176.8 lbs. Took final injection. Two more days of 500 calories to go.

November 6, 2012

176.8 lbs. No change in weight. No injection this morning. Glad I get to quit doing that for a bit.

DAY 32
November 7, 2012

176.4 lbs. Final day of 500 calories. Tomorrow I start with 1500 Calories.
